In the years I have spent putting together a home gym, I have acquired some good tools that are frugal and sore easily. These are kettlebells, free weights, and resistance bands. all of these tools cost me less than $10 each and because they are so low cost, I have been able to acquire several different types of each kind to truly tailor my workout. if you are new to your fitness journey or you're just wondering how you can use these tools to make your workouts more challenging, here is my intro to kettlebells, free weights and resistance bands.

Nothing can stop me when I get that runner’s high or feeling like I can conquer the world after lifting some weights. That is, unless it is a workout related injury. When I first started my journey, I did a number of them on myself. Most workout related injuries are due to incorrect form or over-doing it. Both of these are very easy to do when you are just learning to listen to your body and when you are learning new equipment or fitness moves. While I am not a professional fitness trainer, I have learned some things over the years that could have prevented me from seeing an injury. Here are some of my tips on how to avoid workout related injuries.
